About

Victory Group is a ministry of hope for those challenged by all types of addictions, as well as help for their family and friends. Christ-centered recovery groups offer both encouragement and hope to the addict and their families. Our goal is to provide a non-threatening environment; therefore, your anonymity will be protected.

We in the Victory Group believe that the love of God, which includes goodness, kindness, and mercy, will cause a person to change. If a man or woman is shown the love of God through the people of God, that person will change. It is our mission to show that love through prayer, accountability, willingness, sensitivity and above all, the Word of God.

Victory Group was founded as an outreach of Victory Family Church in October of 1999. Pastor John Nuzzo was presented with the idea of forming a group to minister to addicts who seek help and hope for recovery. He suggested training with Overcomers in Christ.

Victory Group originally started assisting people with drug and alcohol problems but has grown to include helping people who struggle with all kinds of addictions, as well as their family and friends. In addition to drugs and alcohol, addiction to gambling and pornography are quickly growing problems.

Our main goal is for people to feel accepted and loved regardless of where they are in life. Many times people struggling with addiction need to know that they are loved so that with God's help they can begin to make changes in their lives.

Victory Group is open to all people, regardless of religious affiliation. As an outreach of Victory Family Church, we recommend that individuals be established in a local church. If you desire to be a part of a church body, you are welcome to attend Victory Family Church where we are committed to reaching the needs of people where the need is the greatest — in the heart.

If you give to the United Way, please consider designating the Victory Group for your contributions.
